The diverter valve is an instrument that is only found on a combi boiler, which is used to allow hot water to be sent to the radiators or taps depending on what is required. This is the main difference between a combi boiler and a normal boiler due to the fact that the boiler can provide hot water and heating without the need for a cylinder .
